Groupon is proud to be hosting a Railsbridge Open Workshop June 1st and 2nd.
What is it?
Railsbridge is a series of free Ruby on Rails workshops “for women and their friends.” This is the third Railsbridge workshop in the Chicago area. Railsbridge provides an open curriculum for students to gain the tools they need to start writing Ruby websites. See http://workshops.railsbridge.org/ for more information.
Where is it?
Groupon, 600 W Chicago Avenue, 3rd floor then follow the signs.
Does it cost money?
Nope. It’s 100% free. There will be lunch.
What about childcare?

When is it?
There’s an install fest on Friday, June 1st from 6pm to 9pm, and the workshop proper is on Saturday, June 2nd from 9am to 5pm.
Who is invited?
The workshop is primarily to give women a way to join the Ruby community. Men are welcome to attend as long as they accompany a female student.

Railsbridge was founded by Sarah Mei and Sarah Allen to try to raise the number of women in the San Francisco Ruby community. Their site at http://railsbridge.org contains more information on all their ongoing projects.
